Antique Scream, Road Agent Spin, and The Antiprism at High Noon Saloon
The muscle and wah-wah power of classic rock tempts a lot of current bands to go retro and play beefy guitar hooks and yelp out some gruff vocals. But only some of them remember to actually keep it fun, and fortunately Madison's Road Agent Spin is one of those. Though the band hasn't played too many shows recently, it's been working on new tunes like "'77" and "One Horse Town," which aim for the same sweet spot Thin Lizzy and Foo Fighters tend to hit—heavy on gritty guitars and manly lyrics, but also on friendly, joyful hooks and vocal melodies.
