The Appleseed Cast and Dreamend at High Noon Saloon
Lawrence, Kansas' The Appleseed Cast has left behind its emo days for good, at least to judge from the nicely realized post-rock expanses of 2006's Peregrine and 2009's Sagarmatha. The change has been happening for several years, though, and the big shift arguably came with the band's pair of 2001 albums, Low Level Owl, Vol. 1 and Low Level Owl, Vol. 2. Taking this evolution to something of a logical conclusion, Appleseed Cast will be playing both albums in their entirety on this tour, revisiting their moody, melodic, and lightly experimental sweep with the benefit of a little hindsight.
