Author Event: Peter Yarrow: Day Is Done at Barnes And Noble - West Towne
Peter Yarrow of '60s folk group Peter, Paul And Mary will always be best known for the fanciful hit "Puff (The Magic Dragon)," so it was wise of him to, ahem, pass that song's success over into the field of children's books in 2007. This year, he follows the illustrated adaptation of the song with yet another, Day Is Done, in which "animal and human parents everywhere tenderly tuck their children into bed." Yarrow's peaceful message and gentle melodies also suit his kid-friendly crossover, so he'll be playing some songs here as well as sharing the new book.
