The hip-hop duo of Horton The Irrelevant and August The Creep left Madison and went their separate ways not long after putting out a fun, spacey, kinda neurotic CD called Strange Passengers. Since, they've moved to Brooklyn and started collaborating again under the name Bi-Polar Bear, and Horton has changed his name to Ugly Orwell. Their new album, Today I Found Happy, finds Ugly Orwell getting more weary and reflective, aspiring to a vocal style that suggests Slug on an extra pack or so a day. August and Ugly's approach to production sometimes makes for an aggressive pulse of drum and horn samples, and sometimes slows down and loosens up to just let this hip-hop therapy session unfold.
