Bob Marley Birthday Celebration: Roots Collective at The Pub
Madison reggae six-piece Roots Collective certainly isn't the only band celebrating Bob Marley's birthday in town this weekend, but probably has the most ambitious tribute in store for people on The Pub's new music stage. In addition to a set of originals, the band will be performing Marley's 1977 album Exodus in its entirety. The undisputed fan favorite among the albums Marley made with The Wailers, Exodus epitomizes that blend of mellow and spiritual that reggae bands have been trying to recapture for years—thanks in large part to the huge hits "Jamming" and "One Love/People Get Ready."
