Bob Schneider and Charlie Mars at Majestic Theatre
Had he not been raised in Munich, it would be easy to write off singer-songwriter Bob Schneider as yet another bro jamming away on a guitar, plucking bits from G. Love and Dave Matthews’ songbooks along the way. However, Schneider paid his dues in Austin’s rich music scene, working his way through several bands and eventually to likable, if middle-of-the-road, solo work. Schneider's musical interests are at least varied: His latest album, this year's Lovely Creatures, incorporates some Latin influences and a duet with folk singer Patty Griffin.
