The musical robots that tour with Jay Vance aren't his backing players—they're his masters and tormentors. For more than a decade, the San Francisco rocker (robot name JBOT) has toured the country as frontman and captive to brilliant, fully functional musical borgs like DRMBOT 0110 and GTRBOT666, playing sinister punk and metal. Most of the tours feature a different theme, so this time C!BR returns on the "Get Motivated" tour, promising to "inspire, motivate, and make you want to grab for that brass ring." Not only does it keep the band's bizarre appeal fresh, it just might bring some machine-apocalypse-style hope to the recession-stricken masses.
