Incest Death Squad at Broom Street Theater
If the holiday spirit of family togetherness hasn't sunk in with you just yet, chance this midnight screening of a Wisconsin-made movie about a brother-and-sister pair of serial killers who like to fuck each other while smeared in the blood of their victims. Writer-director Cory Udler's splatter-n-tits horror feature Incest Death Squad stars Greg Johnson and Carmela Wiese as two Northwoods siblings on a murderous mission from God to rid the world of douchebag tourists from Rockford and Schaumburg. (In keeping with the home-state spirit, local bands El Valiente and Helliphant provide most of the soundtrack.) Johnson's thoughtfully twisted performance—equal parts preacher, hulking killer, and pervert—more than makes up for the film's slow first third, and Troma Films maestro Lloyd Kaufman makes a cameo as a newspaper editor who can't stop ranting about dead hookers.
