In director Ti West’s The Innkeepers, Pat Healy and Sara Paxton play employees who pass the last night in business at their old, creaky hotel by hunting for the spirit of the totally not-old-hag-sounding Madeline O’Malley. Top Gun hottie Kelly McGillis plays a psychic who gets in on the ectoplasmic action to help the pair discover the true nature of what lurks within the hotel walls. Like West’s film The House Of The Devil, Innkeepers moves slowly and deliberately. But viewers’ patience with trudging through the doldrums makes the scares more impactful. Healy will be on hand for this screening to answer questions afterward.
