  • Sat Dec 26 8:30 pm
The Jimmys, Aaron Williams, Beth Kille, and Jessi Lynn at High Noon Saloon

Eight local musicians, only one of whom appears to be named Jimmy and three of whom make up the horn section, play sassy party grooves as The Jimmys. Hammond organ player Jimmy Voegeli and band mostly draw on Chicago blues and New Orleans funk, but also work in some other flavors that welcome a warm and brassed-up treatment, as on the salsa-rockin' song "I Need You" and soul ballad "Fool." Aaron Williams, leader of local funky-blues-rock trio Aaron Williams And The Hoodoo, will be playing not his own songs here, but some written by his father, Cadillac Joe, who died earlier this year after decades as a well-respected Hammond B3 player.
