John Eddie and The Rowdy Prairie Dogs at High Noon Saloon

John Eddie has accepted a life of writing and playing sturdy, plainspoken roots-rock songs for a modest audience, at least judging by the title of his 2003 Lost Highway release, Who The Hell Is John Eddie? And modesty suits his music: There might not be anything unusual about it, but he knows how to reach people with a lyric, whether it’s about love or getting old. Of all things, he recently had the dubious honor of Kid Rock covering one of his songs, “Low Life.” Needless to say, Eddie’s version is a bit more likable.
