Justin Roberts And The Not Ready For Naptime Players at High Noon Saloon

As a children’s musician, Justin Roberts has the unenviable task of making music that stands up to kids’ incessant appetite for repeat listening, but that doesn’t make the adults around them want to tear their ears off. It’s daunting, indeed, but fortunately for both parties, Roberts does A-okay. After floundering for a little bit in an underappreciated indie rock band, he became a Montessori school teacher to pay the bills, writing little ditties for his students. He made a tape for some parents, got signed to the adorably named Carpet Square Records, and the rest is history. His latest (and Grammy nominated) record, Jungle Gym, draws heavily from the Fountains Of Wayne school of rock, all the while railing against the dumb things little brothers do.
