Kyle Hollingsworth Band and Euforquestra at Majestic Theatre
Kyle Hollingsworth is probably best known for jamming long and frequently with veteran Boulder, Colo., outfit The String Cheese Incident; and say what you want about jam bands, but at their best they require a musician to flex a lot. Hollingsworth explores a different, more jazz-influenced brew of styles on his 2004 solo effort Never Odd Or Even. From patiently doodling organ grooves to explorations of funk, blues, and odd samples, it's nothing if not eclectic. He follows it up this month with a new release, Then There's Now.
