The Monos, Uncle Eddie, Lorenzo's Music, and Stephanie Rearick at High Noon Saloon

Considering lead guitarist Mark Whitcomb co-owns local studio DNA Music Labs, it’s surprising that his band Lorenzo’s Music would just give its music away online. But it’s the obvious care and time put into its recordings, like 2008’s Bazar, that makes all the points of inspiration pop in the band’s music, like the unhinged blues riffs of The White Stripes, saxophone scronk of Morphine, and glass-shard-gargling growl of Tom Waits. All of these come together wonderfully on venomous tracks like “Indian Summer,” and the new sea shanty swing of recently released single “Just Had To Let You Know.”
