National Beekeepers Society, Sleeping In The Aviary, and His And Her Vanities at The Frequency
Madison's National Beekeepers Society progressed a lot over the course of its two proper albums (2006’s self-titled debut and 2008’s Pawn Shop Etiquette), so it’s a shame to see that the group is hanging it up. But while it would have been fun to see how big of a leap forward it made with its next move, at least those two slabs of gloomy, Pavement-inspired post-rock will still be around, while its members will continue on in other projects like Nick Whetro and Karl Christenson's Icarus Himself.
