Tiny Riots were at real risk of limiting the listening potential of their latest release by naming it Love In The Autumn Leaves and striving to, in their own words, present the “soothing sounds of fall.” But fortunately, relationship-fueled mopiness knows no season and vocalists Michael Lau and Kerri Mack’s delicately heartbreaking harmonies make songs like “Love” into beautiful bummers, while shimmering guitars and a steady ambling rhythm section recall post-emo touchstones like The Get Up Kids and Karate.
