Osso + The BQE at Project Lodge

New York City's Osso boasts a more eccentric pedigree than your average string quartet. The four classically trained ladies (including Madison-reared violist Marla Hansen) first came together to provide the orchestration for spacey chamber-rock project My Brightest Diamond, then played on Sufjan Stevens' 2005 album Illinois. Touring under their own name rather than as backing musicians this time around, they'll offer yet another perspective on Stevens' work: Osso's first release, the new Run Rabbit Run, is a classical re-arrangement and -interpretation of Stevens' 2001 instrumental album Enjoy Your Rabbit. To keep the theme going, a screening of Stevens' film/song project, The BQE, rounds out the bill.
