Nobody in hip-hop is as awesome at being a nice dude as Pigeon John, a rapper and singer whose party-inciting showmanship is matched only by his refreshingly friendly songwriting and persona. Still, in case albums like his terrifically fun Pigeon John... And The Summertime Pool Party left anyone hungry for more straight-up, aggressive rapping, there's Rootbeer, Pigeon's new project with L.A. rapper-producer Flynn Adam. The duo's new Pink Limousine EP sports a chest-puffing, synthed-up production style and plenty of nimble verse-trading. This being a Pigeon John project, though, Rootbeer's still heavy on lighthearted hooks and a self-effacing sense of humor.
