Sean Kingston, Twista, Gorilla Zoe, and The New Boyz at Alliant Energy Center
Florida-born, Jamaica-bred vocalist Sean Kingston was just 17 when his hit “Beautiful Girls” was featured on The Hills and Gossip Girl, effectively saturating every radio station and Forever 21 in the country. Kingston’s baby-face drooled all over the melody and lyric structure of Ben E. King’s timeless “Stand By Me,” cementing his infectious sing-song into the mainstream for the better part of 2007. The high-spirited Kingston has yet to stop, releasing several more singles—including “War,” featuring a phoned-in cameo by Lil Wayne—off of Tomorrow, his second full-length album in three years. Also on the bill is speedy-tongued Chicago rapper Twista, making up a postponed August show at which he was originally set to headline.
