Shakey at Overture Center for the Arts - Overture Hall Lobby
Madison band Shakey's shows aim not only to cover Neil Young's songs, but to please the biggest of Neil Young dorks, often focusing on specific periods of Young's vast career. Multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Pete Kaesberg and such local rock vets as Killdozer drummer Dan Hobson lend the tribute a careful touch; but the band isn't afraid to switch up arrangements, often performing in a three-guitar lineup that draws more from Drive-By Truckers than it does from Crazy Horse. For this happy-hour show at Overture, the band will go for something a little more broad and accessible, playing two sets of songs from across Young's catalog, but with an emphasis on Zuma and After The Gold Rush.
