SOJA, The Movement, and Tropical Riddims Sound System at RSR Stage
Soldiers Of Jah Army (SOJA) may not be brewing up a revolutionary take on reggae, but as with any genre of music with deep roots, there's something to be said for playing it well. They're better at setting a mood with their songs than you'd expect from a crew of be-dreaded dudes from D.C., and singer Jacob Hemphill's voice is a little more high and reedy than most reggae singers', bringing an introspective twist to many of the band's songs. They're currently out behind Born In Babylon, the latest in a discography that stretches back to 2000.
