Based on Jimmy Buffet’s famous song, Cheeseburger In Paradise reconciles the craving for a good old American cheeseburger with the atmosphere of a tropical party hut. Every inch of the restaurant is covered with some sort of island paraphernalia, from towering faux palms to inflatable parrots. The food is fun and kitschy as well. The Baja burger is alternately spicy and cool with jalapeños, grilled onions, sour cream, salsa, and cheddar cheese. The chocolate nachos are a kid-at-heart’s dream, a super-sweet concoction of fried chocolate and flour tortillas covered in chocolate sauce, strawberries, and sprinkles, served with ice cream. Miniature food is also abundant on the menu, including mini cheeseburgers and mini corn dogs. Don’t miss the fried pickles with horseradish dipping sauce, which are the perfect salty, spicy side to a blueberry mojito, blackberry sangria, or just a cold beer.
