The atmosphere is New York-meets-Baraboo in this circus-themed deli and ice-cream parlor. Matzo-ball soup, kugel, and chopped liver are served on tables complete with working mazes and puzzles, while mechanical toys and comic-book characters swoop overhead. Ella's massive menu includes dozens of deli sandwiches and combos, like open-face swiss melts, burgers, kosher-style franks (outstanding when grilled with sauerkraut), and, of course, Reubens. Blintzes, omelets, and bagels abound, and the potato salad will remind you of your bubby's kitchen. Ella's also houses an old-fashioned ice-cream parlor that serves cones, malts, and sundaes all prepared with ice cream made in-house. Oh, and did we mention the full-size, fully operational carousel?
