Everything at the Lakeside St. Coffee House is organic and/or locally produced or grown. Unusual choices make building your own sandwich amusing for once: The peanut butter-and-preserves and almond-and-preserves sandwiches come with a choice of spiced cherry, chopped cherry, apple-cinnamon, or ginger-rhubarb spreads. Meatier sandwich options include whitefish spread, butterkase and pickled pepper, and ham and Swiss. For dessert, choose from one of many homemade cookies, bars, and cake-y things. The Coffee Room also recently began serving wine and beer.
