While technically a hippie grocery store, the Willy Street Co-op has gone beyond just selling the constituent parts of a meal to serving the meal itself. A full deli case features a changing array of entrées made from local ingredients, including cheesy lasagna, chicken cacciatore, sweet-and-sour tofu, and vegan fried rice, all available by the pound, as well as made-to-order sandwiches. An old-school salad bar comes stocked with less common options like tempeh and beets that have never seen the inside of a can. Wash it all down with coffee, tea, juice, or a smoothie from the juice bar, where you can also grab a brownie, vegan cookie, or scone for the road.
