Aerosmith cancels remainder of summer tour
The band puts off its scheduled Chicago gig after Steven Tyler's dance mishap
More Just Announced
Attendees at South Dakota's annual Sturgis bike rally saw the best of the "Tyler Shuffle," unofficially cited as the force behind Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler's fall from the stage during the band's Aug. 5 performance. The spill resulted in a broken shoulder and stitches to Tyler's head, prompting the group's recent announcement that they're calling off the remaining 15 dates on their current tour. That includes a longstanding show Aug. 28 in Chicago.
Regular YouTube patrons and fans of rock-star schadenfreude will note that Tyler's isn’t the first “revival rock” injury this year. Bret Michaels (of Poison and Rock Of Love fame) was knocked to the ground following a performance at the Tony Awards back in June. Below are clips of both mishaps—review them and judge for yourself which was more tragic.
