If there’s one thing Decider has learned from writing about local and national artists, it’s that even the good ones have to hustle for their lunch. We don’t think it should be so hard to be creative in this world, so we’re doing something about it.

What if we told you that Decider could help you land a place in an exhibit at the Milwaukee Art Museum for one night? No, it doesn’t involve felony burglary or slipping the curator a mickey. In advance of the museum’s MAM After Dark: True Skool event in May, Decider is holding a photo competition with MAM After Dark called Exposure: Urban Photography Challenge.

We’re looking for pics that fit with the “street art” theme of True Skool. Because we know how touchy you artistic types can be, we’re going to keep the street art theme fairly loose. Just be sure to make the picture look awesome, and to keep barns and shit out of it. Qualified entries will be put on display at the museum the night of MAM After Dark, and Decider readers will pick the best of the lot.

Send your photos (in a jpeg format) to promo@theonion.com. Please include your name, phone number, and 100 words about yourself. We’re looking for variety here, so, please, only one photo per entry. You have until May 1 to enter, and we will post our favorite pictures on Decider May 8. Readers will then have until May 15 to vote for the best photo, with the winner being announced at that night’s MAM After Dark event. All the other qualified entries—that means no pictures of your butt, funny guy—will be put on display at MAM After Dark.

So, go out, take a killer photo, and send it on over to us. We can’t help pay the rent, but we can at least expose your tortured, misunderstood artistic genius to the world.
