A.V. Club Milwaukee:  redesigned, relaunched, renewed

Did we redesign? Why, yes, we did. It's nice of you to notice. A lot of changes are in store here—at your local Milwaukee outpost of The A.V. Club—and we'd love it if you had a look around. We'd also love it if you'd tap into that deep well of patience you have sloshing at the ready (at least for the next couple days). Change means, well, change, and we'll be working to get all in store here as the new system settles.

Among the changes is the complete absence now of the name "Decider," which we ditched. Other changes include better labeling of articles and posts, a more functional daily/monthly calendar section, and just a better-looking face on everything.

The new design emphasizes our features and event coverage, while making it a bit easier and more intuitive to navigate. The biggest change you’ll notice is that we have decided to eliminate our restaurant and bar listings. Although we’ve done them for years in the paper, we never felt all that happy with them, to be honest—so we’ve decided to stop devoting resources and space to something we didn’t necessarily like all that much. We’ll still cover restaurants, bars, food, and culinary culture in Milwaukee, but more on a feature level. (We like doing those a lot more.)

We also wanted to make less of a secret our affiliation with the A.V. Club mothership. They're present more here, and, if you're reading from Milwaukee, we're present more there. It's always more comfortable to be at home.
