Just Announced Band Of Horses at The Rave/Eagles Ballroom

After spending years in the shadows with the spell-checkless Seattle band Carissa’s Wierd, Ben Bridwell finally stepped up to the mic in 2006 with Band Of Horses and has since delivered a pair of hyper-fine and understated albums: The widespread debut Everything All The Time—which included “The Funeral,” a song that continues to pop up in commercials and various soundtracks seemingly every few months—and 2007’s Cease To Begin. Both still sound as timeless now as indie rock could hope to be, and stand to age well. The same can't quite be said of the new Infinite Arms, but it's still a solid addition to the band's discography and it ought to go over great when the band performs July 16 at The Rave/Eagles Ballroom. Tickets are $26 and go on sale at 10 a.m. June 5 through Ticketmaster.
