It’s a new year, which means we need a new round of indie-rock albums that music writers can beat poor, defenseless readers over the head with during 2010. An early contender for this honor is Teen Dream, the forthcoming release from dreamy Baltimore duo Beach House. It’s due out Jan. 25, though since the record leaked online back in November it already has a titanic amount of buzz behind it. Fortunately you won’t have to break any copyright laws to hear the songs live when Beach House comes April 3 to Pabst Theater. (That’s right, it’s the same day as Passion Pit at Turner Hall—it’s Sophie’s Choice time for local music geeks!) Tickets are $10 and go on sale at noon Jan. 15 at the Pabst and Riverside box offices.
