Bon Iver to perform at opening ceremony for AIDS Walk Wisconsin
The indie rocker is named honorary chair of the 20th annual event
First Bon Iver secured Senator Russ Feingold as a fan, then he was named the Artist Of The Year by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry. Now, he's been named the AIDS Walk Wisconsin 2009 Honorary Chair, and he'll kick off the walk October 11 with a short, acoustic set at the Summerfest Grounds. This is the 20th annual AIDS Walk Wisconsin, and Bon Iver's presence could raise a few more dollars for the cause, especially among the ever-valuable "fans of beardy folk rock" demographic.
