Brett Favre gets an operation, a deadline
The Vikings get pushy with the former Packers QB

It appears that Favre Fatigue isn’t just relegated to the state of Wisconsin. ESPN is reporting today that the Minnesota Vikings have imposed a one-week deadline for Favre to make up his mind as to whether he wants to play this season. Apparently his comeback hinges on whether the surgery he recently underwent to repair his injured passing shoulder brings him back to feeling 100 percent. Of course, Favre’s comically ignorant agent Bus Cook was saying he was unaware of any pending changes in Favre’s retirement plans on Friday, and yesterday he would neither confirm nor deny the surgery.
While we hate the Vikings with every ounce of our being, we have to hand it to them for showing some stones when it comes to Favre’s annual game-playing. Still, good luck telling Favre good-bye when he inevitably misses the deadline. We’re sure your fans will love that one. We hope that Favre and his ragged shoulder end up in Minneapolis. Good riddance, gunslinger.
