Charlie Sykes doesn’t understand Carroll University’s “Wall Of Prejudice”
Because of course he doesn’t

Faux outrage reached dangerous levels yesterday as the story of Carroll University’s so-called “Wall Of Prejudice” hit the local news. Per usual, teeth were gnashed, hands were wrung, and certain right-wing radio talk show hosts pooped their pants—all because of some naughty words. On Monday, Carroll fraternity Pi Lambda Phi erected a wall on the Waukesha campus and invited students to cover it with any and all derogatory names they had been called over the years. The wall quickly filled up with every possible slur in the book—everything from “dumb jock” and “fat cow” to words we typically refer to only by their first letter. The purpose of the exercise, according to Carroll Dean Of Students Theresa Barry, was to “raise awareness about all the prejudice that exists in society today.” On Friday, the wall will be torn down with bats and hammers—“symbolically breaking down the prejudices,” as FOX6 so helpfully puts it.
Okay, fine. A symbolic breaking down of prejudices—that sounds about right for a college-level diversity stunt. No big deal, right? Wrong. Trouble began when lovable right-wing scamp Charlie Sykes caught wind of the story. Sykes decried the wall’s foul language and bemoaned its location near an elementary school. Carroll quickly responded by moving the wall, though not before someone had the bright idea of adding “talk show host Charlie Sykes” to the litany of insulting names—right next to “twat monster” and “fire crotch.”
“WARNING: This is what tolerance looks like (Carroll University-style),” Sykes scoffs on his Facebook page, before offering readers an “UNCONSORED” view of the wall. Of course, Sykes is missing the whole point of the wall—a point so obvious that even college students, frat members, and FOX6 could grasp it. But that’s nothing new for Sykes, who thrives on drumming up just enough knee-jerk outrage to fill an hour before moving on to yet another YouTube video of an anti-Walker protester saying something mean. Now would you darn moochers put down the Guitar Hero and get off his lawn already?
Here’s an “unconsored” picture of the wall, which does contain some pretty nasty shit:
