Check out two new songs from The Fatty Acids (and help them go on tour)

Ain’t nobody working harder in the Milwaukee music scene these days than The Fatty Acids. Between sets at the Locust Street Festival, Summerfest, and just about any club you can name (on any night you can name), the band has somehow found time to record a follow-up to its terrific debut album, Stop Berries, Berries, And Berries, Berries. The upcoming Leftover Monsterface will reportedly be available soon, and if first single (and live favorite) “Creature” is any indication, it should be an album to contend with. Check out the song, along with its b-side, “Memory Banks,” here.

But wait, there’s more. This being the economically depressed 21st century and all, the Acids’ are looking for a little financial help via Kickstarter. The band is hoping to offset the cost of a summer tour and physical copies of the album by raising the very specific total of $2,011 (the year after we make contact) by August 2. Backers can expect the usual demos, T-shirts, show posters, and other goodies for their hard-earned cash. An album release show is set for September 2 at Linneman’s, and there’s nothing more sad that a release show without a release. Won’t you help The Fatty Acids, Milwaukee? Judging from the band’s tireless schedule, it’s the very least you can you.

Here’s the group’s video pitch, complete with all the beer-shotgunning you’ve come to expect.
