Since the legitimacy of anonymous commenters seems to be a hot topic around here lately, we thought we’d point you toward our favorite new local blog, Anonymous Commenters, a knife-twistingly vicious (and hilarious) exploration of those faceless folks out there who can’t help but share their wacky, hopelessly cruel opinions with the world. The blog is written by frequent A.V. Club contributor Matt Wild, who’s been plumbing the depths of the Journal Sentinel’s infamously racist/sexist/fascist/whatever-else-you-got-ist comments section to produce jewels of dunderheaded wisdom, and tell the rest of us what it all means.

Our pal Matt isn’t always nuanced in his analysis: An anti-Nancy Pelosi commenter comically called “TrueDat I” was recently described as “a miserable, deluded dipshit who fancies himself an ‘extreme’ prop comic, albeit one whose only prop is a bucket of his own flop-sweat.” But in this endless battle of wits (and nitwits) called the Internet, only the strong survive, and the Anonymous Commenters blog is a brick shithouse of invective surrounded by dead-eyed commenter-monkeys. Keep fighting the good fight, son.

Oh, and Matt? You’re missing out on a wealth of material here. Just sayin.’
