Aimless Blades
Rough-hewn local Americana band Aimless Blades specializes in spooky, dusty, accomplished songs that fall somewhere between Neil Young and Pixies. In other words, it’s ideal beer-drinking music, especially if you’re sitting on a blanket in the middle of one of the city’s most beautiful parks. And wouldn’t you know it: The weather for tonight’s Aimless Blades show (with Sharking Hour) at Chill On The Hill in Humboldt Park is supposed to be decent-ish. (By which we mean not rainy but still unseasonably cold.) Afterward, swing on over to the East Side for a DJ set by the always groove-tastic Kid Cut Up at The Uptowner. And, no, we’re not embarrassed that we just used the word “groove-tastic.”
