Did The Fatty Acids’ Leftover Monsterface make our “Top 15 Milwaukee albums of 2011” list? You’ll have to check back next week for the answer; until then, you can enjoy live versions of four of the album’s songs, recorded at the WMSE studios earlier this week. As part of the final push to keep the station’s Local/Live program afloat, the Acids’ are offering the songs as a pay-what-you-want download, with a $1 minimum. All proceeds will go directly to WMSE’s Kickstarter campaign.
According to band member Kurt Raether: “We were blown away with the quality of the recordings, and the fact that [WMSE recording engineer] Billy [Cicerelli] was able to put a CD in our hands right after we finished. We’re really happy with the result.”
