Fasten Collective to shutter boutique, reopen as Sparrow Collective
The new group will carry much of the same inventory, and then some

At the end of April, Fasten Collective returns to its roots as an organization supporting Milwaukee artists designers without a bricks-and-mortar shop. If that sounds like another mom-and-pop art shop just bit the dust, fear not. It’s really just a name change; on May 1, Sparrow Collective opens in the same Bay View location, carrying the same locally-made fashions from Fasten’s artists. Even better, Sparrow will stock more than just clothing and accessories, and include things like handcrafted home goods and pottery from around Milwaukee and beyond. Not bad news at all, because that sounds like Sparrow is stepping in to fill the void left by Paper Boat Boutique And Gallery, which closes May 31.
