A McDonald’s training video called “Inside And Outside Custodial Duties” first sparked Nick Prueher and Joe Pickett’s interest in the weird videotapes hiding in dumpsters and at garage sales. With the Found Footage Festival, they share their found art and tell stories about its origins in a screening of clips from discarded home movies, corporate videos, and educational tapes. Already on the sixth edition of the Festival, Prueher and Pickett are still unearthing VHS treasures like Rent-A-Friend and Linda Blair’s How To Get Revenge.
The FFF is scheduled to make a stop at Milwaukee’s Turner Hall Wednesday, Dec. 19. General admission tickets are $12, and go on sale Friday, Sept. 14 at noon.
