Get a free caffeine fix for National Coffee Day

Interns all over the country can fill free cups of coffee today in honor of National Coffee Day. Never mind that there’s absolutely nothing national about coffee beans… except for that distinctly American practice of bringing them from the far corners of the world into MacBook-friendly coffee shops. That and the infamous rap Americans have for coffee addiction.
Caribou Coffee, 7-Eleven, Thorton’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Krispy Kreme will all offer deals today that include free cups of joe (albeit with some restrictions). 7-Eleven will only hand out completely free coffee until 11 a.m., and Caribou has a buy-one-get-one-free deal. Starbucks won’t be joining in the fun, but then again, who even wants a free cup of 7-Eleven coffee? So don’t be surprised if by the end of the day, the world looks more like this:
