Help Sat. Nite Duets press the brilliant One Nite Only to vinyl

It’s no secret that we at The A.V. Club are big fans of Milwaukee’s Sat. Nite Duets. Not only do we dig the band’s shaggy, endearingly goofy guitar-pop, but we also recently deemed the video for “Throwback Man” the greatest music video ever made. Who would have expected such greatness from a bunch of dudes who like to hang out naked in the shower while pounding back a few Hamm’s?

But getting shitfaced in the buff doesn’t pay the bills, apparently. That’s why the band is asking for a little help in getting its terrific One Nite Only EP pressed to 10-inch vinyl. Using that trusty digital open-guitar-case known as Kickstarter, Sat. Nite Duets is hoping to scare up $750 for the project by July 29. Depending on how much scratch you’re willing to send the group’s way, you can score swag ranging from a T-shirt ($20) to a letterpress poster ($25) to a test pressing ($50). Oh, and you get the One Nite Only 10-inch, of course. All donations come with a free download of four unreleased songs.

Unlike some other Kickstarter campaigns we could mention, this one actually has a chance of coming to fruition—as of this morning, the good time dudes of Sat. Nite Duets need less than $200 to reach their goal. Won’t you help, Milwaukee? After all, it’s not every day that a band threatens to give the tired concept of “bromance” a good name.

Here’s the band’s video pitch, complete with sitar, bongos, and a hookah. Because, of course.
