Like so many saints and Blues Brothers before him, Gov. Scott Walker is on a mission from God, apparently. According to the Journal Sentinel, the beleaguered governor recently sat down with the Christian Broadcasting Network to chat about God, prayer, and family—you know, no big whoop. Between musings on the concept of grace (“God’s grace is abundant no matter what you do,”) and a creepy anecdote about Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch needling him about his faith, Walker dropped this delicious Jesus-flavored teaser: “God’s got a plan for us that, who knows, where it might be even beyond just serving as governor of this state.”
Walker’s comment seems to line up with recent rumors that he’ll be chosen as the GOP’s vice presidential candidate. Regardless of his potential White House plans, Walker might be facing perennial failed gubernatorial candidate Tom Barrett in this year’s recall election, proving that God probably is on his side.
