Larry The Cable Guy at Riverside Theater
More Just Announced
Like Creed, According To Jim, and the cinematic oeuvre of the Wayans brothers, Larry The Cable Guy is impervious to any critical barbs. Yes, he’s occasionally racist, often homophobic, and almost always completely moronic. He’s also, arguably, the most popular comedian in the country. Say what you will about Patton Oswalt, but it’s Larry The Cable Guy who packs arenas from coast to coast and inspires millions to put his catchphrases on their SUV bumpers. Of course, “popular” is not the same as “good,” and if we learned anything from cinematic efforts like Delta Farce and Witless Protection, it’s that Larry has not yet developed the deft comedic acting chops of predecessors such as Jim Varney and Yahoo Serious. But when he comes to Milwaukee May 15 for two shows at Riverside Theater, he'll be doing what he's "best" at, which is not making us laugh on stage rather than the silver screen. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 12.
