Back in 2011, KingHellBastard MC Dana Coppafeel and producer 4AR (a.k.a. Reason) teamed up for Know Flight Zone, an EP stuffed with eight tracks of Milwaukee hip-hop goodness. Now, nearly a year later, the duo is back with an excellent new song, “Hear Me Now.” The percussion-heavy track (“Turn the drums up / let ’em bang more stupid”) features a guest verse from Klassik, as well as additional production work from Fresh Cut Collective’s Bellse Soneek. Once again, Coppafeel’s nasally flow is front and center as he drops lines about Facebook, Ric Flair, and Talladega Nights’ Ricky Bobby.
The release also includes an a cappella and an instrumental version of the “Hear Me Now.” (Stick around for the Kraftwerk-esque keys that close out the track.) Listen to it below or download it for free from the group’s Bandcamp site.
