Atlanta's kings of epic metal Mastodon have announced a tour that brings them to The Rave/Eagles Ballroom Oct. 18, with a somewhat unusual opening act in tow: Dethklok, the cartoon stars of the Adult Swim show Metalocalypse. The fictitious band is touring in support of its upcoming The Dethalbum II, due out on Sept. 8. Here's hoping this performance doesn't end in gory violence and brutal annihilation, like they do on TV.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for $27 and $34, so for now get pumped (for the human side of things) with Mastodon's "Oblivion":
