Meet the new editor of A.V. Club Milwaukee

Ever since October 2, 2006, I’ve had the pleasure of performing the coolest job in the city as editor of A.V. Club Milwaukee. It’s been a great ride—we’ve had a lot of laughs, a few arguments, and countless wonderful memories. But like all great things, and many bad ones, this too must end.

So without further ado, I’d like to introduce Matt Wild as the new editor of A.V. Club Milwaukee. Regular readers will recognize Matt’s name from the many great stories he’s written for us over the years. A Mayville native and graduate of UW-Milwaukee, Matt was also a writer for Vital Source and a member of the fitfully remembered local band Holy Mary Motor Club. Most memorably, Matt was once described by an A.V. Club commenter as “some kind of liberal hack.” He’s practically a member of the family already.

As for me, I’m leaving A.V. Club Milwaukee but I’m not going far. I was recently named music editor of the national A.V. Club and (best part), I’m staying put in the best damn big small town on the planet. So, while my job title has changed, I’m still a Milwaukeean and will always remain a huge fan of the city.
