Great job, Milwaukee! Milwaukee is one of the most romantic cities in the U.S., apparently
Not pictured: Milwaukee.
Now that it’s February, the month that artfully marries horrendous temperatures and salt-laced slush with love and romanticism, restaurant-reservation behemoth Open Table has rolled out its list of the top 25 most romantic cities for 2013. And whaddya know, Milwaukee came in at a respectable 12, taking the lead in front of Richmond, Virginia, and coming just behind Dallas, Texas. But hey, we beat Chicago! (La Jolla, California can celebrate its No. 4 spot with the rest of us big boys.)
Since this is Open Table we’re talking about, the rankings were based on the number of supposedly romantic restaurants in town, which tend to be on the ritzy side. But never fear, perpetually broke diners: Also included is the favorite of Wisconsin athletes who don’t actually spend much time in Milwaukee but like to pretend that they do, Carnevor. Oh, and Golden Mast, which isn’t even in Milwaukee. Shockingly, Dicks Pizza & Pleasure didn’t make the cut.
Great job, Milwaukee! We’ll beat La Jolla next year.
