More Wilco news: Sausage races and webcasts
Who exactly were those masked sausage racers?
Decider has been exchanging emails this afternoon with Wilco’s publicist, and after a lot of arm-twisting and cajoling we finally got her to spill the beans on a vitally important issue: Which band members, if any, participated in the sausage race during last night’s Brewers game at Miller Park?
As any Brewers fan will tell you, five people dressed in sausage costumes race each other in the middle of the sixth inning of every home game. Rumors have been circulating all day about Wilco being last night's sausages, but it turns out that only 2/6ths of the band donned the sausage coating: drummer Glenn Kotche and keyboardist Mikael Jorgensen. The rest of the sausages—including the dude dressed up as hot dog, the triumphant race winner—came from Wilco’s crew. If Kotche and Jorgensen smell a little tastier than the rest of the band tonight, you’ll know why.
In other Wilco news, the band plans to do a live webcast of tomorrow night’s soldout show at the Pabst Theater on its website. Decider already hooked you up with a list of great Wilco show recordings, but this is bound to be a very worthy addition.
