It’s no secret that we at The A.V. Club love us some Patton Oswalt. The stand-up comic has been on an undeniable hot streak for the past several years: ringmaster of the Comedians Of Comedy tour, voice of the cartoon rat in Ratatouille, star of Big Fan, a recurring character in Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica, and author of Zombie Spaceship Wasteland. His 2009 comedy CD, My Weakness Is Strong, is as hilarious as ever, capturing his smart, geeky, sarcastic observations on everything from fatherhood to the absurdity of religion to grocery-store robots that make you do all the work. Oh, and long-forgotten “Sumerian prankster gods.”
After more than a year-long absence, Oswalt will once again grace our city with his singular wit—and his character-actor physique—May 6 at the Pabst Theater. Tickets go on sale March 18 at noon.
