R.I.P. Spackle
The Bay View gallery will close later this month

OnMilwaukee.com reports that Bay View art gallery Spackle will close after its final exhibit, Perfectionless, wraps up Jan. 18. There also will be a closing reception coinciding with the city's Winter Gallery Night Jan. 16. Spackle had a short life, surviving not even a year at its Kinnickinnic Avenue location. (Check out this interview with the gallery founders shortly after Spackle opened in March 2008.) Perfectionless features the work of Milwaukee artists Allison Lindner, Sam McMahon, and Nick Wieczorkowski.
